E' una battaglia per la POWC di 5 giorni fa, non so cosa fare perciò la posto e la commento, spero di non sbagliare a scrivere come avevo ragionato in quei momenti perché non ricordo alla perfezione.
Il tizio ha uno stile di gioco simile al mio. Prima di iniziare la battle ho scavato tra i miei log e mi sono accorto che usava sempre lo stesso team, ovvero zapdos/steelix/curselax/cloyster/exeggutor/gengar, senza però avere molte info sui singoli set, ad esempio non sapevo se curselax era mono attacker o aveva eq/blast, o se zapdos era stalker (probabile) o il set di gengar o lo stab di cloyster, ho quindi deciso di affidarmi a un team abbastanza solido senza particolari debolezze, questo.
Noterete subito che i team sono praticamente uguali, solo che io al posto di gengar ho il terribile machamp.

Alla fine ho deciso di non rischiare, anche perché il mio cloyster ha sia surf sia ice beam, con cui può tenere a bada steelix, ed eventuali exeggutor e zapdos in entrata (se non ha cambiato team), metto pressione con il mio stesso exeggutor e lo forzo allo switch/all'esplosione, inoltre non sarebbe stato saggio perdere subito cloyster senza sapere il resto del suo team

A questo punto, lui ha uno zapdos paralizzato con circa il 60%, e psychic è 2hko. Se facessi sleep powder e lui mandasse zapdos, potrebbe usare indisturbato rest a meno di mie esplosioni. Psychic quindi sembrerebbe la mossa più giusta e sleep powder quella sbagliata (ammettendo che non metta zapdos, può anche fallire!), ma proprio per questo vale la pena usarla: spesso le mosse sbagliate vengono escluse a priori dalla mente dell'avversario. Per esempio, nemmeno io avrei mandato zapdos, e dato che come ho già detto texas ha un po' il mio stesso playstyle, proviamo a usare questa mossa a sorpresa. In caso di Zapdos avrei comunque potuto avere il 25% para rate per 2 psychic consecutivi, e soprattutto non avrei ricevuto danni. Low risk, high reward se vogliamo usare il linguaggio smogoniano.

Bene, quindi per lui la mia mossa al turno 7 non era una mispredict, ma era uno switch per un ice beam telefonatissimo, e infatti era la possibilità più ovvia; switchando nuovamente gli ho un po' confuso le idee. Esploderà? Sicuramente non al primo turno, mandiamo il nostro zapdos a mettergli paura e speriamo che non abbia a sua volta ice beam (che comunque posso tankare)

Qua ci ho pensato un po: mi gioco la tie? Se avessi vinto, sarebbe stato gg ez, ma comunque avrei avuto solo il 50% di probabilità, se avessi perso avrei comunque danneggiato snorlax in modo importante, ma poi avrebbe mandato gengar e avrei perso tutta la pressione offensiva che avevo creato fino a quel momento. Ho deciso quindi di mandare Machamp a fargli paura sul rest (il suo snorlax probabilmente non è mono attacker, o non avrebbe cursato su steelix, quindi avrei avuto in seguito il vantaggio di fronteggiare uno snorlax che mi dà 2 turni gratis), in modo da forzare lo switchin del suo gengar e di portarlo a pochissima vita con hp ghost. Una volta eliminato gengar posso fare enormi casini con lo stesso Machamp, devo solo stare attento all'hypnosis forzata del turno seguente, sulla quale avrei mandato zapdos; se esploderà invece subito, perderà comunque l'unico "check" di machamp.

L'unico errore importante secondo me è lo switch su Machamp mentre Lax restava. Lasciare Snorlax significava 50% di vincere subito e comunque vantaggio pazzesco anche in caso perdi lo speed tie. Al confronto mandare Machamp ad indebolire Gengar è una scelta piuttosto debole imho. A meno di aver paura di un selfdestruct di lax..in tal caso lo switch sarebbe forse giustificato.
Al turno 28 io avevo previsto lo switch a Cloyster in battle..penso avrei usato stalk, ma questa è una piccola cosa :x
comunque l'hai spanato principalmente perché questi inglesi sono molto timidi e non si aspettano le predict. Texas ti ha sottovalutato, ma è anche vero che probabilmente non hai avuto una grande lungimiranza all'inizio...hai vinto perché sei stato bravo nelle predict e hai usato bene alcuni trucchetti. -

Comunque al turno 4 Explosion non killa e il suo Cloyster potrebbe trovare più tardi occasione di mettere le punte, non credo ne valesse la pena. Più che per la questione punte il tuo Cloyster è ancora importantissimo in questa battle, potendo colpire con STAB superefficaci ben 3 pokémon del tuo avversario, in particolare Zapdos paralizzato ed Exeggutor che fermano Machamp. E ci sono in questa battle target per l'Explosion molto migliori, tipo Snorlax (per favorire Zapdos) o Zapdos (per Machamp). Io non avrei mai considerato seriamente il trade dei Cloy così presto nella battle (l'hai detto anche tu, ma con meno parole xD).
Non mi piace usare questo termine, ma al turno 6 fai una predict layer 2 molto bella, però il tuo avversario vuole davvero male al suo Exeggutor (non è la prima volta che lo vedo usato male). Cioè dopo cosa vuole fare? Tie? Bah. Per te poi questa è una gran bella notizia, visto che sei già a quota 2 counter di Machamp messi male!
Al turno 8 lui ti sta predictando sia l'Ice Beam che l'Explosion: solitamente nei boom team lo sweeper finale è counterato da Zapdos quindi era lecito aspettarsi anche il botto.
Dal turno 9 in poi davvero belle serie di switch da parte tua: sempre in posizione di vantaggio. Secondo me già ora il tuo avversario è piuttosto innervosito (e alla fine infatti rievocherà l'episodio della Sleep Powder su Exeggutor).
Secondo me al turno 15 lui avrebbe dovuto fare Rest, non credo che HP Ice fosse una 2HKO; almeno così recupera life e speed di Zapdos.
Bella predict al turno 19, considerando che nei turni 15-16 aveva usato il pilaring Steelix-Snorlax per fermare Zapdos. Stai dimostrando di predictare sempre sopra di lui e l'rng ti premia con il crit. Ora il tuo oppo scrive pure in chat per scaricare la pressione, ma secondo me era nervoso da prima e il tuo giocare bene lo sta mettendo sempre più in crisi.
Secondo me lui sbaglia ancora al turno 20: Snorlax è tipo al 43 %, non può entrare con sicurezza su Zapdos se lo toglie e potrebbe non avere occasione di fare Rest dopo. Invece switcha: non mi piace.
Turni 23 e 25: ancora due giocate corrette per mettere pressione. Hai anche tolto uno dei due normal resistor del tuo avversario.
Al turno 28 lui ti sta predictando Steelix, ma tu involontariamente lo anticipi con Cloy e vai per il trade.
Dal turno 30 in poi i suoi switch insensati sono delle predict di Explosion: è chiaro che per chiudere dovrai prima o poi esplodere su Zapdos, però non mi sembra una grande idea la sua affidarsi alle predicts in una battle in cui le ha sbagliate tipo tutte... C'è anche da dire che con Exeggutor che dorme e Cloy esploso (scelta sua eh) si trova in crisi contro Steelix e prova ad inventarsi qualcosa senza perdere un altro pokémon visto che è sotto.
Morto Gengar ormai hai vinto: davvero bella partita!
Comunque farei notare come tra due team offensivi, diversi per un solo elemento Machamp/Gengar (oltre a varie mosse, anche importanti tipo Beam di Cloy), il team in grado di mettere più pressione offensiva ha prevalso, anche se Gengar figura tra i check di Machamp!. -

CITAZIONEL'unico errore importante secondo me è lo switch su Machamp mentre Lax restava. Lasciare Snorlax significava 50% di vincere subito e comunque vantaggio pazzesco anche in caso perdi lo speed tie. Al confronto mandare Machamp ad indebolire Gengar è una scelta piuttosto debole imho. A meno di aver paura di un selfdestruct di lax..in tal caso lo switch sarebbe forse giustificato.
Se avessi perso la speed tie il suo snorlax avrebbe avuto pressapoco il 60-65% di vita e ok non sarebbe potuto entrare sul thunder di zapdos+spikes, ma avrei interrotto il ritmo che stavo dettando alla battle, dando a lui la possibilità di contrattaccare mandando gengar, non so se mi spiego: mandando machamp sarei stato io a dettare i suoi switch/attacchi e lui a rispondere, mentre facendo dedge e ipoteticamente perdendo la tie, avrebbe mandato gengar al turno successivo e sarei stato io a dover rispondere ai suoi attacchi (gengar avrebbe avuto quasi piena vita); entrambe le mosse erano corrette secondo me (infatti poi ho vinto lo stesso), non si può considerare un errore importante, solamente un modo alternativo per avere un vantaggio psicologico sull'avversario.CITAZIONEcomunque l'hai spanato principalmente perché questi inglesi sono molto timidi e non si aspettano le predict. sì anche io sono praticamente sicuro che aveva pensato a questa serie, così avrebbe recuperato zapdos e in generale erano le mosse più safe che aveva. -

Sì ma sono d'accordo sul fatto che probabilmente voleva mandare Exeggutor a giocarsi la tie, ma non mi sembrava sul momento una grande idea, anche considerando il suo atteggiamento dopo. Si spaventa per i fully par di Zapdos e poi affida il suo recupero a tre turni di predict, con tanto di speed tie per la Sleep Powder? E poi dopo due turni il meglio che riesce a fare, se indovina tutte le predict, è di usare la sua Sleep move sul RestTalker avversario e lasciare un free switch a Snorlax che cursa?

Probabilmente non so contare i layers delle predict: avevo considerato layer 0 sia spowder che switch a Zapdos e layer 1 sia psychic che switch a Exeggutor, quindi layer 2 Powder. Che poi non so perché ma in questi casi le layers di uguale parità dovrebbero essere la stessa giocata, credo: qualcuno me lo spieghi xD. -

A volte la mossa è uguale, ma ha layer di ragionamento diversi. Una mossa layer2 può essere uguale ad una layer4, ma il ragionamento che ci sta dietro è più o meno profondo..
